The Kalâa of Ait Abbas is a medieval castle located in the Ighil Ali District of Algeria. Founded in the sixteenth century, it served as the capital of the Kingdom of Ait Abbas. The citadel was almost entirely destroyed during the revolt of Cheikh Mokrani in 1871, marking a significant event in its history.
